Sonakshi Sinha DEACTIVATES Her Twitter Account Amid Nepotism Debate; Says 'Aag Lage Basti Main, Main Apni Masti Main'
Amidst nepotism debate following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Sonakshi Sinha has now deleted her Twitter account to stay away from negativity
Sushant Singh Rajput's demise has sparked a new wave of discussion over Nepotism in Bollywood. The actor, who reportedly suffered from depression, hung himself from the ceiling fan in his apartment in Bandra on June 14. Ever since then, netizens are discussing how Bollywood treats outsiders. Filmmaker Karan Johar has been on the receiving end with people bashing him on social media. Amidst all this Sonakshi Sinha has now deleted her Twitter account to stay away from the negativity.
She took to her Instagram account to share that she has deleted her Twitter account. In the last tweet she made, she wrote, "The first step to protecting your sanity is to stay away from negativity. And no where more of that than twitter these days! Chalo, im off -deactivating my account. Bye guys, peace out." As she shared the screenshot of her last tweet, on Instagram she wrote, "Aag lage basti mein...mein apni masti mein! Bye Twitter.
Sonakshi also shared on her Instagram stories that it takes great strength to kick hate in the face. Further, she has even switched off the comment section on her Instagram account.
Earlier, Sonakshi had slammed people on social media for using Sushant Singh Rajput's demise for highlighting nepotism. She wrote. "The problem with wrestling with pigs is that you get dirty and the pig enjoys it. To certain people trying to garner publicity and highlight THEIR issues using the death of a member of our fraternity... PLEASE just stop. Your spewing negativity, hate and toxicity is really not required right now. Have some respect for the departed.
